Medicaid Referrals

A physician referral is required for Medicaid clients prior to receiving counseling services. However, a referral is not required to schedule an appointment. Physicians may submit referrals directly to Next Steps Counseling using either of the following methods:

Please note: Referrals must be received before counseling services can be provided. We encourage clients to schedule their appointments while their physician completes the referral process.
